Our body has the capability of developing vitamin D3 vitamin on its own, if there is proper exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D3 is one form of vitamin D and is also known as cholecalciferol. Vitamin D3 deficiency symptoms are similar to vitamin D deficiency.

To identify the deficiency symptoms linked with this vitamin is necessary. As vitamin D3 is one of the form of vitamin D, some of the symptoms are common. The symptoms are described as follows:

  • Blood Pressure: Deficiency of vitamin D3 causes hypertension or high blood pressure. According to studies, vitamin D contributes a lot to regulate the blood pressure.
  • Rickets: The deficiency of this vitamin makes the bones of the children very soft. Especially, the bones of legs bend, as they are not capable of holding the body balance. The bone also becomes fragile and often breaks. This vitamin helps the bones to absorb the needed minerals like phosphorus and calcium that are required for healthy bones. If the deficiency persists for a longer period of time, then the person can feel pain in the body parts like legs, spine and pelvis area. The children with the problems of rickets are prone to minor and severe fractures with mild dental problems like cavities.
  • Continuous Exhausted Sensation: Lack of vitamin triggers the trouble of never-ending fatigue. Apart from tiredness, a person can have weak muscles and intolerable pain in performing any physical activity. The problem becomes a never-ending process even if the person is taking adequate rest.

  • Infections in Respiratory Systems: As the body is deprived of necessary vitamins, the respiratory system of the body is affected. Such persons are more prone to lung infections, common cold, asthma etc.
  • Increasing Depression: Elderly women and men who have tremendously low-level of vitamin D in the body can get depressed. This is not a common problem with children.
  • Muscular Pain: The lack of this vitamin also gives birth to severe muscular pain. If the deficiency runs for a longer time, then the area of muscular pain will become very tender and swell.

To treat any vitamin deficiency, the best option is a healthy nutritional diet. A healthy diet not only helps the body to be perfect but also prevents the body from many diseases. The best ways to get this vitamin is spending 10-15 minutes every day under the sun especially in the morning hours. By doing this, the body captures sufficient sunlight for various body functions. The habits like sunbathing, particularly in winters is not only a wonderful activity but is the best way to have necessary amount of vitamin D in the body. Some foods that are rich in this vitamin are tuna and salmon, and other sources are dairy products and eggs.

Vitamin D3 deficiency symptoms are very helpful to know the disease and to treat the problem very well. Applying sunscreen lotion and unhealthy eating habits affects the normal functioning of the body. If the sunscreen lotion is offering total sunrays blocking option than it can trigger the bone problems. Be careful in choosing cosmetics and eat healthy food to be fit and fine.
